Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ten (10) or more years related work experience.
• Extensive property and casualty insurance underwriting experience.
• CPCU license.
• Certificate of General Insurance (INS).
• Associate in Insurance Production (AIP).

Responsibilities

• Enhances Commercial Lines Underwriting portfolio by measuring, analyzing and communicating agency performance.
• Manages profitability by identifying, measuring, managing and accounting for risks through team of Underwriters.
• Recommends and implements business growth initiatives to achieve business plan goals.
• Cultivates efficient team functioning by managing resources and implementing changes to fill gaps.
• Influences team by modeling relationship building with stakeholders to ensure timely, quality service.
• Builds relationships and facilitates projects by sharing expertise with peers and leaders, guiding training and review processes.
• Guides stakeholder decision-making by sharing underwriting expertise with team, agents and regulators.
• Manages a performance enhancement culture by coaching and mentoring direct reports.
• Manages budgeted resources by forecasting costs and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
• Provides a positive environment by modeling company values and encouraging collaboration and inclusion.
• Adopts company values in personal work behaviors and career development.
• Complies with data standards and maintains data integrity.
• Occasional travel (15–20%) a year.
• Other duties as assigned.
