Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services, a leading national brokerage and consulting firm, seeks an experienced Underwriter to review, underwrite and rate broker submissions for new and renewal business in Pennsylvania. You will ensure submissions are complete, obtain information, quote with carriers, negotiate pricing and define coverages.

The role requires eight or more years in insurance, a valid license, and strong communication, teamwork and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Eight (8) or more years related work experience, knowledge of insurance industry and prior supervisory experience.
• Valid Insurance License; must continue to meet requirements for license renewal.
• Driver License, valid and in state.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates new and renewal business to achieve goals of profit, rate and growth.
• Markets to carrier to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, define coverages, and determine commissions.
• Manages renewal expiration lists and creates timelines for renewals.
• Orders necessary reports and analyzes inspection reports to accept or reject new business.
• Coordinates the preparation and distribution of management reports; ensures data integrity.
