Job summary

Alliant is seeking an experienced Underwriting Manager in Kentucky to review, underwrite, and rate broker submissions for new and renewal business, ensuring submissions are complete and compliant.

You will collaborate with Retail Producers and Account Managers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, define coverages, determine commissions, and coordinate policy delivery, renewals, and reporting while guiding a team of underwriters and administrative staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 8+ years of related work experience in insurance underwriting or supervision.
• Valid Insurance License and ongoing license renewal requirements.
• Driver's License valid in the state of Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Review and underwrite broker submissions for new and renewal business.
• Ensure completeness and compliance of submissions with guidelines.
• Negotiate pricing and define coverages with carriers.
• Market to carriers to obtain quotes and manage commissions.
• Lead and develop underwriters and administrative staff.
• Coordinate policy delivery, renewals, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate logs, audits, and data integrity.
