Job summary

AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Facultative Automatic Facilities in the United States. You will underwrite and service automatic facility accounts, shaping pricing and terms, and drive profitability while collaborating with underwriting, actuarial, legal, and claims teams.

You will lead strategic business development, manage broker and client relationships, and ensure adherence to guidelines and audits.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in the reinsurance industry focused on Programs, Facultative Facilities, or Commercial Property Treaty/Automatic Facility Reinsurance.
• Deep understanding of policy wording, contract terms, and rating systems.
• Strong pricing model knowledge and catastrophe modeling experience.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in underwriting systems and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and produce automatic facility accounts achieving profitability and budget targets.
• Underwrite terms, conditions, and pricing for new and renewal automatic facility business.
• Adhere to underwriting guidelines and regulatory/rating requirements to ensure audit readiness.
• Manage AXA XL relationships and coordinate with underwriting, actuarial, legal, and claims teams.
• Maintain and service a book of business, handle endorsements and special acceptances.
• Participate in strategic planning and business development including client/broker visits.
