Job summary

AXA XL is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Facultative Automatic Facilities in the United States. The role underwrites and services automatic facility accounts, pricing renewals and new business while aligning with regulatory and rating guidelines.

You will collaborate across underwriting, actuarial, legal, and claims teams to optimize book profitability and client service. This position reports to the Property Facultative Department Manager in North America.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in the Reinsurance industry, with emphasis on Programs, Facultative Facilities, or Commercial Property Treaty or Automatic Facility Reinsurance.
• Understand policy/contract wording, policy rating, and be proficient in the use of policy rating systems.
• Detail oriented and accurate; demonstrate elevated organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Math aptitude
• Outstanding PC skills
• Property and Inland Marine underwriting background.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and produce automatic facility accounts achieving profitability and premium targets.
• Establish pricing for new and renewal automatic facility business by reviewing account information.
• Adhere to underwriting guidelines, regulatory and rating guidelines to ensure audit results.
• Maintain and manage relationships with underwriting, actuarial, legal, and claims staff.
• Service a book of business by processing endorsements and special acceptances for clients and brokers.
• Participate in business development activities and travel to customer/broker visits as needed.
