Qualifications

• Underwriter analyzes exposures to loss and determines premiums.
• Experience: six years related or five years underwriting in E&S/Specialty.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review risks with agents/programs and decide to accept/decline.
• Quote, price and underwrite new and renewal policies for complex accounts.
• Monitor risk pricing and endorsements for accuracy and profitability.
• Develop and maintain relationships with agents, programs and reinsurers.
• Assist with market development and training of underwriting staff.
