5+ years in middle-market construction E&S underwriting is preferred, with ongoing professional designation studies encouraged. The role emphasizes adherence to underwriting guidelines, documentation, and collaboration across teams to stay

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience required.
• 5+ years of relevant and progressive middle market contractors E&S underwriting experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate insurance applications to assess risk and determine pricing.
• Maintain relationships with agencies and brokers to support growth.
• Apply underwriting authority and contribute to business development.
• Ensure documentation is complete and compliant with guidelines.
• Adhere to underwriting directives and policies.
• Approve or recommend approvals/denials within authority.
• Collaborate with internal/external contacts to facilitate process.
• Develop understanding of factors affecting policy rating and risk.
