Qualifications

• This position requires a BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Proficiency with CYMCAP modeling.
• Proficiency with cable tensioning calculations software.
• 12+ years of experience leading a design team in underground transmission projects.
• Design experience with code requirements and industry standards.
• Experience with cost estimate development and scheduling.
• Experience with XLPE cable design.
• Preparation of specifications for installation and procurement.
• Knowledge of right of way, bonding schemes, and construction drawings.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of complex underground transmission lines up to 500kV.
• Develop duct bank layouts, trenchless designs, and cable pulling calculations.
• Coordinate with vendors and clients to specify line components.
• Direct project team of engineers, designers, and drafters.
