Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior engineer to lead the design of underground transmission lines up to 500kV in the United States. You will guide a design team, coordinate with vendors and clients, and ensure code compliance while delivering robust project documentation.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with three days in office and two remote days, plus relocation assistance depending on location.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in engineering is required.
• PE license is required.
• 12+ years leading underground transmission design teams.
• Experience with design codes (NESC, IEC, IEEE, AISC, etc.).

Responsabilités

• Design complex underground transmission lines up to 500kV with rigor.
• Lead a design team, coordinate with vendors and clients, and develop specs.
• Perform cost estimates, routing analyses, and duct bank layouts.
• Develop cable selection, bonding schemes, and ampacity calculations.
• Prepare drawing packages and project deliverables for construction.
• Ensure compliance with standards and review ROW and drawings.
• Collaborate across disciplines and supervise engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and documentation.
