Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Underground Transmission Engineer in Westminster, CO to lead multi-disciplinary design teams for underground transmission projects from 34.5kV to 500kV.

You will drive technical excellence, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction across a diverse project portfolio. You will mentor engineers, manage staffing, and collaborate with planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management to advance projects and improve engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or related engineering from an ABET-accredited program (required).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in underground transmission, underground distribution, cable systems, or related design.
• Ability to lead with limited supervision and deliver multiple projects.
• Experience leading an engineering team with resource management and oversight.
• Experience with transmission systems rated 69kV or higher.
• Familiarity with CYMCAP and cable-pulling software such as Pull Planner or Cable 3D.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff in preparing designs, cost estimates, and customer billing for a portfolio of transmission projects.
• Manage multiple projects from 34.5kV to 500kV ensuring quality, schedule and client satisfaction.
• Plan project schedules and staffing needs for ongoing work.
• Mentor staff in engineering principles, codes, and design practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives and projects.
• Maintain strong client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
