Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL seeks an experienced ultrasound technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging across outpatient and inpatient settings, including abdomen, vascular, OB/GYN, and small parts. You will assist in complex procedures and communicate preliminary findings to physicians.

The role emphasizes teamwork, mentoring, QA and equipment maintenance, with full-time status, 60-hour cycles, 10-hour shifts, and rotating weekends. ARDMS/BLS timelines apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Sonography Program and/or ARDMS registered or registry eligible.
• One year of experience as a Sonographer preferred.
• Associate degree or above preferred.
• ARDMS registered or registry eligible in abdomen, OB/GYN and RVT.
• ARDMS registered in Abdomen, Obgyn, and RVT within 18 months of Mayo employment.
• Each certification should be achieved every 6 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging for outpatient and inpatient care (abdomen, vascular, OB/GYN, small parts).
• Assist in complex invasive procedures and intraoperative cases.
• Synthesize preliminary clinical diagnoses from sonograms and communicate to physicians.
• Identify imaging orders and tailor exams to patient history and symptoms.
• Maintain sterile technique and safe practices.
• Participate in QA, equipment maintenance, and accreditation activities.
• Mentor students and staff; support residents, fellows, and other personnel.
