Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Unified Communications Engineer to support Navy NMCI UC infrastructure, delivering Tier III/IV operations, design, configuration, and troubleshooting of Cisco/Ribbon UC systems. You will work with CUCM, VCS, CMS, and related tools in a hybrid Navy environment.

Candidates should have 4+ years in UC, Security+ or higher clearance, and experience with SIP/PRI and SBCs. Cross-team collaboration and mentoring are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of work experience.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in telecom and UC.
• Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain.
• Located near a NAVY base (e.g., San Diego).
• DOD 8570 Compliant - Security+.
• Federal Gov or Military Agency telecom experience.
• CCNP Collaboration / Ribbon Technologies preferred.
• 4+ years supporting Cisco and Ribbon UC/Collab products.
• Experience with CUCM, Unity, VCS, CMS, and TMS.
• Experience with SIP and PRI circuits and SBCs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enterprise Cisco voice/video/presence systems.
• Support Tier III and Tier IV, ensure service delivery.
• Design, configure, implement and troubleshoot UC systems.
• Create and maintain documentation for voice/video systems.
• Mentor junior personnel and provide operational support.
• Troubleshoot IP networks in operations and security space.
