Jacobs in New York City seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer with Tunnel Ventilation/HVAC PE to lead design and review of tunnel ventilation, fire life safety and related HVAC systems. You will perform calculations, draft design documents in CAD/BIM, and coordinate with CFD groups and other trades in a client-facing team.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (minimum).
- 15–25 years of post-graduate mechanical tunnel ventilation and HVAC experience.
- Experience with tunnel ventilation fans and mechanical equipment.
- Experience with inspection and testing of mechanical equipment.
- Experience with CFD and SES modeling tools.
- Proficient CAD drafting.
Responsibilities
- Perform and supervise calculations and detailed design for tunnel ventilation systems.
- Develop designs of fire life safety systems and coordinate with other trades.
- Provide technical support and coordinate design with CFD groups.
- Perform CFD and SES modeling and mentor junior engineers.
- Draft design documents using AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM Revit and related tools.
