Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Building Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of plumbing, HVAC, odor control, and fire protection systems for water and wastewater facilities. You will prepare drawings and specifications for client submissions, perform calculations, and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, and 10+ years of design-build experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection for design-build projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Motivation, data analysis skills, technical problem-solving, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design complete plumbing systems including potable water distribution and drainage.
• Design complete HVAC systems including package units and central plants.
• Design odor control systems and fire protection systems.
• Prepare calculations for plumbing, air loads, and pump sizing.
• Coordinate with architects, vendors, and other engineers; mentor designers/drafters.
