Job summary

HOLT Truck is seeking a Level 3 Diesel Technician who can perform a wide range of mechanical repairs and advanced diagnostics with minimal supervision. The role requires mentoring junior technicians, strong troubleshooting, and adherence to safety standards.

The incumbent will conduct engine repairs on trucks and trailers, utilize diagnostic software, and ensure quality control through road testing and thorough documentation. A senior-level professional with 4+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete Level 3 curriculum pathway requirements as outlined in the Leveling Description Guide.
• Meet technical and performance requirements for Levels 1 & 2 Technician.
• Extensive knowledge of equipment and tools, including designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Expert knowledge with current computer software, related hardware, and diagnostic tooling.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses complex engine malfunctions with direction and minimal supervision.
• Performs detailed engine and related equipment repairs on trucks and trailers with direction and minimal supervision.
• Disassembles, inspects, and reassembles components to factory specs within TRGs.
• Provides quality control inspections including road testing of completed tasks.
• Uses computers and software to diagnose and reprogram engines and documents service reports.
