Job summary

HOLT Truck Centers in Irving, TX is seeking an experienced Level 3 Diesel Technician to perform a broad range of mechanical repairs and diagnostics with limited supervision. This senior position requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to mentor lower level technicians while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will use diagnostic tools and software, inspect engines, and complete service reports, timecards, and parts returns. The role is full-time, onsite at 415 N.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program.
• Minimum of four years of experience.
• Completion of Levels 1 & 2 curriculum pathway requirements as outlined in the Leveling Description Guide.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses complex engine malfunctions with direction and minimum supervision.
• Performs detailed engine and related equipment repairs on trucks and trailers with direction and minimum supervision.
• Disassembles, inspects, determines parts required, and reassembles to factory specifications within TRGs.
• Provides quality control/assurance inspections of completed tasks including road testing.
• Uses computers and related software to assist in diagnosing and reprogramming engines.
• Completes documentation for service reports, timecards, parts requisition and returns.
• Interprets and utilizes information from operating, maintenance, online resources, and service manuals/bulletins.
