Job summary

HOLT Truck Centers in Houston is seeking a Level 3 Truck Service Diesel Technician to perform complex engine repairs and diagnostics with limited supervision. The role requires broad knowledge of heavy truck systems and the ability to mentor less experienced technicians.

You will troubleshoot, repair, document service reports, and uphold HOLT’s Values Based Leadership while adhering to safety policies and customer communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Minimum four years of hands-on experience with heavy trucks.
• Ability to learn and model VBL culture; ongoing safety training.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% and maintain licenses.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex engine malfunctions with minimal supervision.
• Perform detailed engine and equipment repairs to factory specs.
• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble components; determine parts needed.
• Provide quality control inspections and road testing as required.
• Document service reports, timecards, parts, and returns.
• Mentor and coach lower level technicians; communicate with customers.
