Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Senior Counsel to independently handle high exposure cases and complex litigation across lines of business. You will apply advanced trial skills to try cases to verdict or negotiate resolutions, conduct in-depth research, and draft pleadings and motions.

You will mentor junior attorneys, collaborate with experts, and manage client relationships while traveling as needed to meet business needs and deliver exceptional value to insured clients and claim partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Strong ability to try cases to a jury with proven outcomes.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy in complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle high exposure cases and complex litigation.
• Try cases to verdict or negotiate resolutions using advanced litigation skills.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft substantive pleadings and motions.
• Attend court events, depositions and hearings as required.
• Provide case analyses and recommendations to insured clients and claim partners.
• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with experts.
