Travelers seeks a Senior Counsel to independently handle a caseload of high-exposure insurance defense matters, including major cases and complex litigation. You will mentor junior attorneys and provide strategic guidance to insured clients and claim partners.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of defense litigation, strong trial skills, and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly while delivering exceptional client service and collaborating with experts and colleagues.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of insurance defense litigation experience as a practicing attorney.
• Advanced oral and written advocacy skills with a track record of summary judgment and appellate success.
• Ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-exposure cases and complex litigation matters, including Major Case and Complex Claim matters.
• Leverage trial experience to try cases to verdict or negotiate resolutions.
• Draft substantive pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery and other legal documents.
