Job summary

Burford's Construction is seeking a Trimmer B to join our vegetation management team in Florida. The role involves mid-level climbing and trimming, supporting either conventional or bucket crews, with a focus on safety and proper pruning techniques, including natural and directional pruning.

The Trimmer B will work on tasks around energized lines (where applicable), operate chipper and saw tools, and participate in storm restoration efforts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Commercial Driver’s License preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety as a core value and uphold all safety measures.
• Demonstrate understanding of proper pruning techniques, including natural and directional pruning.
• Possess required qualifications for Climber C classification and use bucket operations when assigned to a bucket crew.
• Demonstrate expertise in climbing trees near energized lines and performing maintenance tasks (excluding the most difficult ones).
• Safely remove overhangs and prune around open wire conductors.
• Assist in storm restoration efforts as needed.
