Job summary

Kimmel & Associates seeks an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead Class A commercial interior, tenant improvement, and renovation projects nationwide.

You will manage field operations, coordinate trades, maintain safety and quality, review plans, and keep daily safety and progress reports for clients and project teams. This role requires nationwide travel with extended overnight stays; ideal candidates live within 50–100 miles of a Kimmel office.

Qualifications

• Lead Superintendent experience on commercial interior projects.
• 10+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience preferred.
• Experience managing projects valued around $10 million+.
• OSHA 30 certification required; First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Willingness to travel nationwide with extended overnight stays.
• Located 50–100 miles of a company office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations and crews on commercial interior projects.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, laborers, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate daily construction activities to align with the schedule.
• Ensure materials, equipment, and manpower are available when needed.
• Review plans, schedules, and project documentation.
• Direct subcontractor activities across multiple trades on active sites.
• Maintain daily reports, time sheets, safety docs, and progress records.
• Monitor progress, quality, safety, and productivity on site.
• Conduct site walks to identify issues before they impact schedule.
• Support punch-list processes and pre-punch walks.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and clients to resolve field issues.
• Provide proactive leadership and independent decision-making when challenges arise.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, subs, vendors, and internal teams.
• Represent the company professionally and support career development of field staff.
