Job summary

Kimmel & Associates is representing a premier commercial contractor seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations for Class A interior and tenant-improvement projects nationwide from our Baltimore area office. The role requires hands-on leadership, strict safety standards, and collaboration with clients and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in commercial construction supervision, OSHA 30, and a proven ability to manage multi-trade teams while maintaining schedule

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or higher; degree in Construction Management preferred.
• Significant experience as lead superintendent on commercial interior/tenant improvement projects.
• Ideally 5+ years of superintendent experience with independent project leadership.
• Must be able to travel nationwide including extended overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations and personnel on commercial interior projects.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and laborers.
• Coordinate daily construction activities to follow project schedule.
• Ensure availability of materials, equipment, and manpower as needed.
• Review plans, schedules, and project documentation.
• Direct subcontractor activities across multiple trades on active sites.
• Maintain daily reports, time sheets, and safety documentation.
• Monitor progress, quality, safety, and productivity.
• Conduct site walks to identify issues before they impact the project.
• Assist in punch-list process and pre-punch walks.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and client teams to resolve field issues.
