Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a Construction Manager to supervise design-build industrial food and beverage facilities across the United States and Canada. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage site safety, schedules, and budgets, and liaise with multiple engineering groups to ensure project success.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to interact with owners, subs, and A/E teams, and proficiency in coordinating field and office tasks.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in construction science, building science, construction engineering or a related field is strongly preferred.
• 4+ years of Design-build experience over industrial projects (strongly preferred).
• 4+ years of overseeing sub-contractors and driving the project schedule.
• 4+ years of client interaction experience - strong technical, organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
• 4+ years of progressively responsible job site experience on industrial building projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Works autonomously on overseeing medium-sized projects.
• Developing and updating project scope, budget, and schedule with project management.
• Project accounting, budgeting, and cost management.
• Establishing and maintaining site safety procedures with our safety team.
• Overseeing process, mechanical and utility equipment installations.
• Permitting, code and regulatory administration and approval.
• Change order and general construction administration.
• Coordination of field engineering.
• Inspection coordination.
• Managing third party testing, inspection, and relationships.
• Consult with owners, subs, and A/E team to ensure smooth project progression.
• Preparing and administering third-party agreements.
• Jobsite walks/audits to ensure progress and subcontractor compliance.
• Procurement of project services and equipment (rentals, PPE, etc.).
• Support and coordinate facility start up.
• Prepare and maintain project reports and logs.
• Coordinate schedule with subcontractors and explore alternatives.
• Review and maintain submittals, RFIs, Change orders.
• Work with Project Controllers and Project Manager on supplier invoices and client billing.
• Perform engineering calculations.
• Prepare permit applications.
• Assist in preparing work plans and packages.
• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews.
• Manage project punch-list and close-out activities.
• Foster proactive communication among project participants and clients.
• Provide coaching/mentoring as directed.
• Other tasks as assigned
