Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Transportation Structural Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in design of highway, transit and rail structures in California. The role focuses on new transportation structures, rehabilitation of existing structures, and collaboration with teams to deliver safe, sustainable projects.

The ideal candidate will be registered in California, proficient in concrete, steel, and timber design, and experienced with SAP2000, CSiBridge, or Midas Civil.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 5+ years’ experience in engineering design and design check.
• Autodesk and Bentley BIM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Uses knowledge of structural engineering for transportation structures.
• Preparing design drawings, calculations, and details for transportation projects.
• Design of new transportation structures and rehabilitation of existing structures with coordination with other disciplines.
• Review shop drawings and calculations, coordinate with design team, and address site issues.
