Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
5+ years' experience in engineering design and design check.
Familiarity with Caltrans design standards.
Proficiency in concrete, steel, masonry, and wood/timber design.
Autodesk and Bentley BIM experience a plus.
Registered Professional Engineer in CA is required.

Responsibilities

Prepare design drawings, calculations, and details for transportation projects.
Design new transportation structures and rehab existing ones with coordination across disciplines.
Review shop drawings and calculations; coordinate with design team; address site issues.
Coordinate with clients, prepare submittals, manage meetings and RFIs.
Collaborate with structural staff to deliver projects to high standards.
