Job summary

Benesch, a growing planning, engineering, and professional services firm, is seeking a Transportation Project Engineer in Denver to join our team. You will design roadways and multimodal projects for State DOTs and municipalities, coordinating with hydraulic, traffic, structures, and environmental disciplines to deliver turnkey projects.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil Engineering, 10+ years roadway design, PE certification, and proficiency with MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads Designer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or higher required.
• 10+ years roadway design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• CDOT roadway design experience preferred.
• Experience with State/County DOTs and municipal clients.
• Proficient with MicroStation and/or InRoads; Open Roads Designer a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design roadways, highways, and interstates from preliminary to final design.
• Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure quality work.
• Contribute to proposal development.
• Assist Project Managers and Design Leaders.
• Manage and maintain project documentation.
• Collaborate with the team to meet client requirements with quality designs.
