Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to play a key role in planning, design, and delivery of Transportation Projects across the firm. You'll work with experienced engineers and project managers on Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3, and other delivery methods, using ORD to prepare roadway designs and contribute to reports and plan production.

Hybrid work arrangement based near Fairfax, VA is preferred, with fully remote options considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of transportation infrastructure design experience.
• Active PE license in VA or eligible within 6 months.
• Proficient in ORD for roadway design and modeling.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support technical design on transportation projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across offices.
• Develop plans, specs, cost estimates, and design reports using ORD.
• Participate in proposals and design-build pursuits.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project teams.
• Ensure QA/QC and compliance with standards.
• Stay informed on industry trends and alternate delivery methods.
