Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to help plan, design, and deliver transportation projects across the firm. You will collaborate with engineers and PMs on Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3, and other delivery methods, preparing roadway designs with ORD and contributing to reports and design production.

Fully remote options are considered, though a Fairfax, VA hybrid arrangement is preferred. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of transportation infrastructure design experience.
• Active VA Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• ORD proficiency for roadway design and modeling.
• Familiarity with multiple state DOT standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support technical design on highways, interchanges, and tollways.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across offices to design solutions.
• Coordinate plans, estimates, and design reports using ORD.
• Participate in proposals, design-build pursuits, and presentations.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality control.
