Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to play a key role in planning, design, and delivery of transportation projects across the firm. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers and project managers on Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3, and other delivery methods, and assist in roadway design using ORD, plus modeling and plan production.

Fully remote candidates will be considered, though a hybrid arrangement based in Fairfax, VA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with ORD for roadway design and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support technical design on a wide range of transportation projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across offices to develop design solutions.
• Serve as liaison between internal teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Develop and review plans, specs, cost estimates, and design reports using ORD.
• Participate in proposals, design-build pursuits, and technical presentations.
• Mentor junior engineers and support career development.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with standards.
• Stay informed about industry trends and delivery methods.
