Job summary
RK&K is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to plan, design, and deliver transportation projects across the firm. You will collaborate with engineers and project managers on Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3, and other delivery types, using OpenRoads Designer (ORD) for roadway design and modeling.
The role may be fully remote with a preference for a hybrid arrangement based in Fairfax, VA, and travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Eight+ years of transportation infrastructure design experience.
- PE license in VA or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- ORD proficiency for roadway design and modeling.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support technical design on a range of transportation projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across offices.
- Serve as technical liaison with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Develop and review plans, specs, cost estimates, and design reports using ORD.
- Participate in proposals, design-build pursuits, and technical presentations.
- Mentor junior engineers and support career development.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with standards.
