Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead planning, design, and delivery of transportation projects across delivery types, including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and P3. You will prepare roadway design plans using ORD and contribute to technical reports and plan production.

Fully remote candidates will be considered, but a hybrid arrangement based in Fairfax, VA is preferred. Travel may be necessary as required by the project.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of transportation infrastructure design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license in VA or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support technical design on transportation projects (highways, interchanges, tollways, transit corridors).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across offices to develop design solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and support career development.
• Develop plans, specs, cost estimates, and design reports using ORD.
• Participate in proposals, design-build pursuits, and presentations.
• Ensure QC and compliance with standards.
