Job summary
RK&K is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead planning, design, and delivery of transportation projects, including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and P3. You will collaborate with engineers and project managers, prepare roadway design plans using OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and contribute to technical reports and design models.
The role offers remote work with a preferred hybrid arrangement in Fairfax, VA, and travel as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in transportation infrastructure design.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in VA or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Proficient in OpenRoads Designer (ORD) for roadway design and modeling.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support technical design on a wide range of transportation projects (highways, interchanges, tollways, transit corridors).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across offices to develop design solutions.
- Serve as a technical liaison between internal teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Develop and review plans, specifications, cost estimates, and design reports using ORD.
