Job summary

Otak seeks a Senior Transportation Project Engineer to lead design and delivery across municipal roads, trails, underpasses, and bridges. You will coordinate with local agencies, manage scopes and budgets, and mentor junior staff while advancing toward a Project Manager role.

You’ll work on transportation and transit infrastructure, support business development, and provide construction-phase oversight to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or clearly progressing toward licensure.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience, transportation-focused.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of transportation projects for municipal and public clients.
• Coordinate with public agencies and local jurisdictions to meet scopes and budgets.
• Apply AASHTO, ADA, MUTCD, and WSDOT standards for regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development and proposals.
• Provide construction-phase support including submittals and site visits.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely project delivery and quality.
