Job summary

Otak is seeking a Project Engineer to apply their design expertise across civil engineering projects including roadways, trails, underpasses, bridges and campus improvements. You’ll lead complex design efforts from concept through construction and partner with clients and agencies to deliver safe, sustainable transportation solutions.

This role offers the opportunity to advance toward project management, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, support proposals, and grow within Otak's transportation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5+ years of progressive civil engineering experience (transportation/infrastructure).
• Experience coordinating with public agencies and clients.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and delivery of transportation and transit projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with public agencies and clients.
• Collaborate with project managers on scopes, schedules, budgets.
• Provide construction-phase support including submittals and RFIs.
• Assist in proposals and developing project scopes and budgets.
