Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and manage complex transportation engineering projects from planning through delivery, while driving financial performance, client satisfaction, and team development.

You will oversee design tasks, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and government agencies, and build strong client relationships. The role requires PE certification and 15+ years of PM experience, with a strong track record on similar projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
• 15+ years of related work experience and prior project management on similar projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex transportation engineering projects from planning through delivery.
• Drive financial performance, client satisfaction, and team development on each project.
• Establish and monitor project scope and fee per contract; pursue modifications as needed.
• Coordinate design tasks, prepare calculations, plans, and submittals.
• Communicate high-level concepts with clients, subconsultants, and agencies.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure streamlined design and minimal revisions.
• Attend to client needs, resolve conflicts, and escalate issues as needed.
• Provide constructability and independent peer reviews on submittals; may serve as Engineer of Record.
• Build client relationships and identify business opportunities; participate in meetings and negotiations.
• Oversee project accounting, invoicing, collections, and timely financial reporting.
• Manage CRM for opportunities and pursuits; lead lead-pursuit proposal activities.
