Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 2-3 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience AND the ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
• AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities: strong communication; relationship-building; analytical thinking; proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and safety to minimize turnover and maximize ongoing productivity
• Fill in for absent or unavailable personnel and on special projects related to optimizing fleet operations and profitability
• Train drivers and staff on internal and third-party systems
• Analyze fleet operations and profitability, measure KPIs, and prepare customer reports
• Assign loads, plan routes, and monitor freight to meet on-time delivery
• Handle payroll, driver counseling, accident reviews, invoicing, and reporting
• Oversee yard operations, maintenance scheduling, and safety issues
• Collaborate with drivers, customers, and staff to resolve service issues
• Uphold safety culture with regular driver safety briefings and trainings
• Plan and adjust loading to meet customer requirements and schedules
