Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 2–3 years in transportation/logistics or equivalent military experience.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and weekends.
• Strong professional communication skills applied internally and externally.
• Proven experience in establishing and maintaining healthy working relationships.
• Experience in fostering strong customer relationships via delivery of commitments, open communication, and ongoing feedback/improvement.
• Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Ability to travel to account and customer locations.
• Adapt to a dynamic work environment and shifting priorities.
• Experience in holding people accountable and conducting difficult conversations.
• Experience in meeting DOT regulations and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and safety to minimize turnover and maximize productivity.
• Fill in for absent personnel and handle special projects to optimize fleet operations and profitability.
• Train and orient drivers and staff, including customer systems.
• Analyze fleet operations and profitability; measure KPIs and present customer-specific reporting.
• Manage inventory, assets, and driver assignments to balance equipment in market.
• Perform payroll, driver counseling, accident reviews, invoicing, and reporting duties.
• Coordinate yard operations: inspections, repairs, and maintenance scheduling.
• Resolve service issues with drivers, customers, and staff during the day and on-call.
• Maintain safety culture with daily safety messages and regular trainings.
• Assign loads, plan routes, monitor freight movement to ensure on-time service.
