Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking a technically focused Senior Engineering Manager to join our Transportation Group. You will provide engineering, staff support, and QC/QA services for roadway design projects and collaborate with multiple planning teams for local, state, and nationwide clients.

You will develop and mentor staff, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain strong client relations while partnering with leadership across disciplines to deliver successful projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Civil Engineering program.
• 15+ years of transportation experience with diverse project experience.
• Licensed Illinois Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience working on and with IDOT, County, and Local Agency projects.
• Proven leadership skills with engineering staff.
• Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Ability to effectively manage clients and deliver successful projects.
• Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously.
• Working experience with Microsoft Office and knowledge of MicroStation, CONNECT, and ORD.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, support, and provide QC/QA for projects related to transportation planning and design.
• Develop and mentor staff.
