Job summary

H&H in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Roadway/Transportation Engineer to lead our transportation practice growth. The role focuses on guiding multidisciplinary projects, ensuring technical quality, and mentoring staff.

The successful candidate will drive project delivery, oversee design and construction support, and participate in client meetings, proposals, and business development. A minimum of 15 years of design experience is required.

Qualifications

Fifteen or more years of highway, interchange, and roadway design experience.
Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain licensure within six months.
Familiarity with MassDOT design standards.
Proficiency with Bentley CONNECT Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lead teams and manage projects.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers in delivering multidisciplinary transportation engineering projects.
Provide technical QA/QC.
Produce roadway and transportation designs for new and rehabilitation projects.
Lead client project meetings, proposals, and presentations; manage tasks and budgets; interface with regulators.
Communicate effectively with design team members.
Mentor junior engineers and oversee design production.
Support business development activities and proposal writing.
