Qualifications

• Fifteen or more years of relevant highway, interchange, and roadway design experience.
• - Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure within six months.
• - Familiarity with the design standards of CTDOT.
• - Drainage design experience preferred.
• - Proficiency in Bentley CONNECT Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• - Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• - Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and manage small design groups and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in delivering multidisciplinary transportation engineering projects.
• Provide technical QA/QC.
• Produce roadway and transportation designs for new and rehabilitation projects.
• Lead client meetings, participate in proposals and presentations, manage tasks and projects, and interface with regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate with design team members and mentors for staff development.
• Oversee construction support, including review of submittals and RFIs.
• Assist with business development activities and proposal writing.
• Apply CTDOT policies, procedures, and design standards.
• Assist with project scheduling and management of financials.
