Job summary

H&H, based in Boston, is seeking a Mid-Level Roadway/Transportation Engineer to design roadways, coordinate project tasks, and support client meetings. You will mentor junior staff and assist in marketing efforts while ensuring adherence to project budgets and schedules.

The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver transportation projects for a range of clients, leveraging MassDOT standards and Bentley/AutoCAD tools.

Qualifications

• Five to fifteen years of highway/roadway design experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within six months.
• Familiarity with MassDOT design standards.
• Drainage design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Bentley CONNECT Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and self-motivated with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage small design groups and projects.

Responsibilities

• Produce roadway and transportation designs for new and rehabilitation roadway projects.
• Attend client meetings, participate in proposals and presentations, manage tasks and projects, and liaise with regulatory agencies.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with the design team.
• Manage, train, and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Perform project engineering tasks related to communication, scheduling, budget, and progress across multiple tasks.
• Assist with local marketing efforts, including proposals and meetings with municipal entities.
