Job summary

H&H in New Haven, CT is seeking a Senior Roadway/Transportation Engineer to lead our Highway Group. You will oversee multidisciplinary projects, ensure technical QA/QC, and mentor staff while enhancing client relationships and guiding strategic growth.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years of highway/roadway design, a PE license (or in six months), and familiarity with CTDOT standards. Proficiency in Bentley CONNECT Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.

Qualifications

Fifteen or more years of highway/ro adway design experience, including interchanges.
PE license or ability to obtain licensure within six months.
Familiarity with Connecticut DOT design standards (CTDOT).
Drainage design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers in delivering multidisciplinary transportation projects.
Provide QA/QC for transportation designs and plans.
Produce roadway designs for new and rehabilitation projects.
Lead client meetings, participate in proposals, and manage project tasks and schedules.
Coordinate with other design team members and stakeholders.
Mentor and supervise junior engineers and staff.
Oversee construction support and RFI reviews.
Support business development and proposal writing.
