The candidate will mentor staff, manage design tasks, coordinate with regulators, and contribute to business development while delivering safe, cost-effective roadways for our state and municipal clients.

Qualifikationen

• Fifteen or more years of highway, interchange, and roadway design experience are required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within six months.
• Familiarity with MaineDOT design standards.
• Drainage design experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Bentley CONNECT Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead and mentor teams.

Aufgaben

• Lead a team of engineers in delivering multidisciplinary transportation engineering projects.
• Provide technical QA/QC.
• Produce roadway and transportation designs for new and rehabilitation projects.
• Lead client meetings, participate in proposals and presentations, manage tasks and projects, interact with regulators.
• Coordinate with design team members and train/mentor junior staff.
• Oversee construction support, review submittals and RFIs; assist with business development and proposals.
• Apply MaineDOT policies, procedures, and design standards; assist with project scheduling and financial management.
