Job summary

H&H in Bedford, New Hampshire is seeking a Senior Roadway/Transportation Engineer to lead our growing transportation practice. This role emphasizes leadership, project management, and client development with a minimum of 15 years of design experience.

The successful candidate will mentor staff and drive technical excellence across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will support project delivery, QA/QC, and strategic growth of the Highway Group, while collaborating with a nationwide team

Qualifications

Fifteen or more years of highway/roadway design experience.
PE license or ability to obtain within six months.
Familiarity with NHDOT design standards.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lead and mentor teams on design projects.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers on multidisciplinary transportation projects.
Provide QA/QC for designs and analyses.
Produce roadway and transportation designs for new and rehab projects.
Lead client meetings, proposals, and project presentations; manage tasks and schedules.
Coordinate with design team members and stakeholders.
Mentor junior engineers and oversee production of plans, specs, and estimates.
Oversee construction support activities, including reviews of submittals and RFIs.
Assist with business development and proposal writing.
Apply state and local transportation agency policies and design standards.
Assist with project scheduling and management of project financials.
