Job summary

Volkert Inc. is searching for an experienced Transportation Engineer to support our Gulf Region group located in Birmingham, Huntsville, and Tuscaloosa, AL. This role requires at least 5 years of transportation planning experience and a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering.

The successful candidate will engage in traffic operations analysis, signal design, and master planning. Benefits include an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), healthcare, and 401(k) with matching.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of transportation planning experience.
• Alabama PE License required.
• Proficiency with transportation planning practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine aspects of assignments requiring engineering principles.
• Assist the Project Manager in project design.
• Prepare engineering studies, documents, and reports.
