Volkert Inc. is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to support our Gulf Region across Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. You will manage transportation projects, organize schedules, and guide design teams to deliver high‑quality plans.

Requirements include a B.S./M.S. in Civil Engineering, 5+ years of transportation engineering, Alabama PE, and experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer, ArcGIS, Synchro, or VISSIM. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of transportation engineering experience with progressive responsibilities.
• Alabama Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, InRoads, ArcGIS, Synchro, VISSIM, SIDRA, or HCS.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain project schedules and travel as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR; pre-employment drug screen.

Responsabilités

• Provide project management and plan review for clients in Alabama.
• Organize activities, schedules, and reports for transportation projects.
• Lead or assist in developing project designs and direct designers to deliver work.
• Provide technical design and guidance on roadway design, traffic operations, signal design, and planning studies.
• Prepare engineering studies, documents, and reports.
• Manage project budgets and contract/change order documentation.
