Job summary

City of Raleigh is seeking a Senior Transportation Analyst to shape Raleigh’s transportation network by combining technical system expertise with strong customer service and communication skills. You will analyze traffic data, respond to resident requests, and help refine business processes within the Transportation Department’s BI unit.

The role involves hands-on work with data, daily maintenance, operations, and planning studies, plus reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in transportation planning or related field plus 5–7 years in transportation planning or related work.
• Equivalent combination of training and/or experience may be substituted.
• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities with customer-facing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident requests with excellent customer service and develop efficient workflows.
• Deliver high-quality transportation analyses and synthesize results into actionable insights.
• Administer and improve business systems to support program workflows and data quality.
• Produce and maintain reports and dashboards for program needs.
