Job summary

City of Raleigh is seeking a Senior Transportation Analyst to shape the city’s transportation data, systems, and performance reporting. You will analyze traffic volumes, speed, and crashes, respond to resident requests, and support planning studies with data-informed insights.

You’ll work with the Business Intelligence unit within the Transportation Department to refine processes, build dashboards, and ensure quality data feeds for operations and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Planning, Urban/Regional Planning, Transportation Engineering, or related field; 5–7 years’ experience in transportation or related work
• Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

Responsibilities

• Respond to Resident Requests: provide excellent customer service, manage resident requests, and coordinate with program staff
• Deliver High-Quality Analysis: conduct transportation studies across platforms and synthesize results into actionable insights
• Administer Business Systems: configure asset and project management systems to support workflows and improve processes
• Produce and Maintain Reports: develop and maintain dashboards and reports from system data
