Qualifications

• Must have strong inspection skills and ability to interpret standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with developers, contractors, and engineers.
• Experience documenting inspections and project activity per city requirements.
• Familiarity with EnerGov and construction documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical inspections of infrastructure in public rights-of-way.
• Ensures compliance with City Engineering Design and Construction Standards.
• Documents inspections and project activity daily using EnerGov.
• Coordinates with developers, contractors, engineers, and stakeholders across construction phases.
• Conducts testing of roadways, fire lanes, and utilities to ensure standards.
• Coordinates road closures and verifies permits per MUTCD standards.
• Oversees acceptance of public infrastructure and warranty inspections.
• Reviews and approves as-built drawings from engineering firms.
• Interprets codes and standards related to transportation and utilities.
• Collaborates with City departments to meet development requirements.
