Job summary

Tectonic Engineering is seeking a Transportation Construction Manager / Resident Engineer for ambitious projects in the Harrisburg, PA area. This full-time role involves overseeing field activities, interpreting plans, managing schedules and costs, and ensuring safety and quality compliance on-site.

You will lead inspection teams, coordinate with clients and staff, and drive project close-out while maintaining documentation and adhering to PennDOT standards.

Qualifications

• 10 years of PennDOT inspection or related highway construction experience.
• PA PE license or NICET Level IV in Highway Construction; PennDOT concrete cert; NECEPT/NICET Level III as alternatives.
• Ability to interpret written specifications, plans and construction documents.
• Strong communication with clients, supervisors and inspectors.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, review schedules, deliverables and estimates.
• Coordinate field inspection staff and monitor onsite/offsite activities for contract compliance.
• Resolve issues from unforeseen conditions and ensure project close-out.
• Interpret drawings/documents and prepare work orders.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure proper project documentation.
